Women Advocacy for Transformation Uganda Ltd (WAFTU) is a dedicated empowerment organization committed to creating a healthy and thriving community of women and children. With a primary focus on improving the health and well-being of children under 5 years, school dropout girls, pregnant women, and women, WAFTU works to bridge gaps in healthcare, education, economic empowerment, protection from violence, and nutrition. The organization runs healthcare programs aimed at improving maternal and child health, including prenatal care, immunizations, and access to reproductive health services. It also promotes economic empowerment by supporting women's entrepreneurship, offering vocational training, and providing microfinance programs to enhance economic opportunities for women. WAFTU is committed to protection and rights, addressing gender-based violence, raising legal rights awareness, and advocating for women's and children's rights. Additionally, it runs nutrition and food security programs that tackle malnutrition and food insecurity, often integrating agricultural development with nutrition education. Through these programs, WAFTU seeks to ensure better healthcare access, legal protection, and economic independence for women and children, helping them build a healthier and more secure future.
